New Textures from Scratch

Tree Of Knowledge

Here is a piece I am working on call the tree of life. It is the main piece in this room. Tree has been modeled up as well as the room. Started texturing the tree. The idea is the tree is alive and goes to a bright and glowing section towards the top of the tree.


Here was a test I was doing on how I was going to make the roots feel really full. Mixture of modeled roots and alpha roots

Modeled in 3D Studio Max and Textured using Photoshop
15 days Modeling the entire room. Majority of that time took place on organic nature of the tree.
2 days working on setting up uv's and creating textures for the tree.
Here is a new piece. Goal was to make 5 pieces that could be copied and rotated around to create an environment. First shot shows the Textured, Shaded and Wireframe of the five pieces arranged nicely. The second shots shows the environment I created keeping it under a budget of 50k tris max for entire scene. 2489 tris used on the five models. Scene is made up of 92 of those pieces.

1 day for research, gathering ideas and finding out what I was going to build.
2 days of building 5 models and creating the final building configuration from the pieces
2 days working on setting up uv's and creating textures.

Fort Dodge









One of the race tracks on MX vs ATV Reflex. This is Fort Dodge supercross track. Worked on terrain for street and dirt area. Creating textures, bumps, and all assets required to see in engine. Also added in power cabling throughout. And adding outside boarding.

Manchester

Here is some examples of the particles I was working on. Some were used on MX vs ATV Reflex. A few were prototyping for the next title.

Freeride Gibson





This was a very large environment. Any where the slope of the terrain was too steep it would cause streaking. To fix this the cliffs needed a models created. I had a limited amount of time to cover up all the steep areas with as unique a set as could be done in this short amount of time. I created, textured and made material for these cliff. Also build out asset for bridge.
